Changing the face of Global Diagnostics
In 2024, I embarked on a five-month branding journey for Open CDx, a pioneering digital healthcare and connected diagnostics company. The goal was to craft a visual identity that reflects their innovative approach to global technology and app development. Starting with the creation of a logo, I opted for an all-blue color palette to convey trust, professionalism, and a sense of technological advancement. The logo features a stylized hexagonal shape, symbolizing connectivity and innovation, paired with the bold "CDx" text to anchor the brand’s presence. This design choice laid the foundation for a cohesive brand identity that resonates with both healthcare professionals and tech enthusiasts.
The typeface selection was a critical component of the branding process, where I chose Aktiv Grotesk for its modern, clean lines and versatility across digital and print mediums. This font complemented the all-blue color scheme, enhancing readability and maintaining a sleek, futuristic aesthetic that aligns with Open CDx’s focus on app development and global technology. Throughout the five months, I developed a comprehensive brand guideline that included typography rules, color codes, and usage scenarios for the logo, ensuring consistency across their website, mobile app, and marketing materials. This meticulous attention to detail helped establish a strong, recognizable brand presence in the competitive healthcare tech sector.
The branding project culminated in a fully integrated visual system that supported Open CDx’s mission to revolutionize connected diagnostics. The all-blue palette and Aktiv Grotesk typeface were applied to create engaging digital interfaces, promotional materials, and app prototypes, fostering a unified brand experience. Feedback from the client highlighted the logo’s ability to symbolize global connectivity, while the consistent design elements boosted their market credibility. By the end of the project, Open CDx was well-positioned to engage its target audience with a brand identity that effectively communicated its technological leadership and innovative healthcare solutions.
