Building homes for the modern day
I developed the brand identity for Serenity Park, a housing complex by MSR Communities in Washington, aiming to create a visual language that reflected its promise of tranquil, modern living. As the lead designer, I crafted a minimalist logo, a calming color palette, and clean typography, focusing on an identity that would appeal to prospective residents seeking a peaceful retreat in the Pacific Northwest. The goal was to establish a brand that felt serene yet contemporary, aligning with the complex’s vision of offering a sanctuary amidst nature.
The challenge was to evoke a sense of calm and natural beauty while ensuring the design remained sleek and professional for a housing complex marketing to a broad audience. I designed a logo featuring a stylized tree with geometric branches, symbolizing growth and harmony, set against a palette of deep blacks, soft grays, and creamy whites to mirror the natural tones of Washington’s landscape; the typography was chosen for its modern, sans-serif simplicity, ensuring clarity and a welcoming feel across print and digital materials. This cohesive identity was applied to brochures and signage, creating a consistent and inviting brand presence.
The Serenity Park brand successfully captured the essence of peaceful living, positioning the housing complex as an ideal retreat for those seeking balance in a bustling region. The clean, nature-inspired design resonated with MSR Communities’ vision, helping to attract residents looking for a modern yet serene home. This project highlights my 10 years of Fortune 100 experience, where I’ve honed the ability to create brands that connect emotionally with their audience while delivering professional polish.
